Telegraphed Firecracker
Evocation [Light]
Level: Sorcerer/Wizard 2, Psychic 2
Components: V, S
Casting time: 1 standard action
Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Effect: A glowing, unstable ball of energy
Duration: End of your turn
Saving Throw: Fort partial (see text)
Spell Resistance: Yes (see text)

With a contortion of your wrist and a muttered incantation the mage creates and tosses an unstable orange star at the troll's face.

You create and throw a slowly moving, glowing orb of energy at a creature, which detonates at the end of your turn, dealing 3d6 damage + 1d6 at 6th and each 3 caster levels after. The target has enough time to shield their face, which allows them to take minimum damage but doing so blinds them for 1 round.

If the target doesn't choose to shield themselves, they're permitted to a Fortitude save to negate the blindness, but not the damage. Spell resistance applies to the damage only.

If the target is able to move from their square before the spell detonates, they are not subject to the spell.
