Fire Elemental Overview
[1] Elementals are incarnations of the elements that make up the universe: air, earth, fire, and water. Though little more than animated energy on their own planes of existence, they can be called on by spellcasters and powerful beings to take shape and perform tasks.
[2] Accordingly, fire elementals are elementals that originate from the Elemental Plane of Fire. The term 'earth elemental' will often refer to the Common Fire Elemental, but can refer to other elementals from that plane.
