Circle Warden

A particular brand of inquisitor who serves druidic circles, the circle warden acts as protectors of sacred groves and natural land on the behalf of druids. Some circle wardens serve effectively as police within druidic enclaves and toward nearby communities.

Class: Inquisitor

Level: 1st-18th

Replaces: Deity’s Favored Weapon, Monster Lore, Detect Alignment, Solo Tactics, Teamwork feats and Discern Lies.

Benefit: A circle warden gains the following class feature:

Weapon Proficiency: A circle warden gains proficiency with a martial weapon of her choice.

This ability replaces the inquisitor's proficiency with the favored weapon of her deity.

Druidic Powers: The circle warden gains one domain selected from the animal and terrain domains. A circle warden may select druidic as one of her languages.

This ability alters the inquisitor’s domain ability.

Wilderness Lore (Ex): The circle warden adds her Wisdom modifier on Handle Animal, Knowledge (geography) and Knowledge (nature) skill checks, in addition to her Intelligence modifier.

This ability replaces monster lore.

Woodland Stride (Ex): Starting at 2nd level, a circle warden may move through any sort of undergrowth (such as natural thorns, briars, overgrown areas, and similar terrain) at her normal speed and without taking damage or suffering any other impairment. Thorns, briars, and overgrown areas that have been magically manipulated to impede motion, however, still affect her.

This ability replaces detect alignment.

Circle Magic: At 3rd level, a circle warden gains a bonus spell slot of the each spell level she can cast, and she learns the corresponding spells listed for her domain as a bonus spell known. She can use this bonus spell slot only to cast the domain spell of that level.

At 6th level and each 3 levels thereafter, the circle warden chooses a single spell from the druid spell list and add it to her inquisitor spell list. She must select the picked spell as spell known normally.

This ability replaces solo tactics and all teamwork feats.

Natural Communion (Sp): At 5th level, the circle warden gains the ability to cast commune with nature once per week.

This ability replaces discern lies.
