Phantom Knight

Your phantom has an inherent knowledge of martial arts, prefering to deliver a barrage of blows over powerful slam attacks.

Class: Spiritualist's Phantom

Level: 1st

Replaces: Slam Attack, Slam Damage Progression, Phase Lurch, Incorporeal Form

Benefit: A Phantom Knight receives the following adjustment:

Armored Form (Ex): A phantom knight cannot be manifested normally, instead it must be allowed to possess a suit of plate armor. The phantom knight gains +4 armor bonus to AC plus any enhancement present on the possessed armor, and it does not suffer from the armor’s max dexterity, armor check penalty or movement penalty from wearing heavy armor. The phantom does not count the armor’s weight against its carrying capacity. At 4th level and each 4 levels thereafter, the armor bonus granted to the phantom increases by +1.

However the phantom knight cannot manifest without a suit of empty full plate armor, and cannot manifest in incorporeal form at all. The spiritualist starts the game with a set of ruined full plate armor. This set of armor has the broken condition when worn by anything but the spiritualist's phantom. This starting armor can only be sold for scrap (it’s worth 4d10 gp when sold).

Fortified Phantom (Ex): A 1st level phantom knight gains the Toughness feat as a bonus feat. At 9th level, the phantom knight's spiritualist gains the Phantom Fortification as a bonus feat.

This ability replaces phase lurch.

Fighting Skills (Ex): A phantom knight is proficient with all martial weapons and receive Weapon Focus as a bonus feat. When it manifests, the phantom knight may form a masterwork weapon it is proficient with, or grasp one provided with the armor it possesses. Once the phantom retreats back into the spiritualist’s mind, is banished, or the weapon leaves its hands, it dissipates.

This ability replaces the phantom’s slam attacks.
