Sacrificial Lifelock

A sacrificial lifelock armor is an occult enhancement that employs the power of blood to empower your armor with protection. When you intentionally injure yourself with a weapon while wearing sacrificial lifelock armor, it obtains a armor buff that protects you against the forces of undeath. Lifelocked armor is covered in your own blood, which seems to actively refresh itself without end. You need a piercing or slashing weapon to activate your enhanced armor, or a weapon equipped with a blood pin hilt.

As an attack action you injure yourself with your weapon, not dealing your normal damage but instead dealing instant bleedout. In return for 1 minute the armor renders you immune to Death effects, and gives you negative energy resistance equal to your HD. If you are struck with an attack that drains blood (such as a vampire's bite or a Wounding weapon) you can negate a single attack as an immediate action. However, this immediately ends the lifelock effect.

If you have the blood pin hilt, activating your armor for this is a free action.

Moderate Abjuration; CL 7th; Craft Magic Arms and Armor, death ward; Price: +2.
