While the first part I'm fine with, it basically mirroring my own feat, I'm against automatically scaling maneuvers based on HD rather than level when you can often switch them out for higher-level ones later on.

Not just good, but necessary.

I think this would work really well with Eiji's variant Combat Maneuver rule. But even for a game where the DM doesn't want to implement the whole thing, this feat helps a lot of initiators who multiclass, without it being an overpowering boost in power.

I like being able to use different ability scores for things.

Ability scores
Why limit it only to dex? --Ghostwheel (talk) 06:18, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
- Because it's Weapon Finesse but for maneuvers. That's why it's named what it is and has the pre-req it does. --Undead_Knave (talk) 00:36, 24 September 2014 (UTC)
- That seems like an extremely, extremely silly reason. "Because it's like WotC did in the past" shouldn't be the primary reason to limit ourselves. --Ghostwheel (talk) 07:34, 24 September 2014 (UTC)
- It's a fluff thing for the feat. Not all feats need universal application. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 08:06, 24 September 2014 (UTC)
- Mostly what the other said, on the other hand I also made it dex-only thing because of it prerequite feat and the fact I didn't felt completely comfortable with giving gishes more SADness. That said it is perfectly acceptable to make different version of this feat for one's game for each ability scores. --Leziad (talk) 10:51, 24 September 2014 (UTC)
