Potion of the Memoryfish
A disgusting potion that converts the user into a pseudo-aboleth that can traverse the depths. This slimy thick mucus of a liquid is form from extract taken from a fresh aboleth's flesh and blood, mixed with brine. It smells strongly of fish and salt, and is bitter. Once consumed the user transforms over the course of 3 rounds and at the end of the third round they possess the following changes to their biology:
- Subject now breathes water, but is unable to breathe air.
- Subject's skin becomes transparent and gooey. If left in the air it skin dries, dealing 1d6 nonlethal damage every minute of exposure.
- Subject gains a +10 bonus to Escape Artist checks from the slime they ooze.
- Subject gains a swim speed equal to their land speed. They are unaffected by extreme pressures.
- Subject gains Darkvision 60 ft.
- Subject is able to perfectly recall any and all memories, which persists even after the potion duration ends.
- The DC for any enchantment and illusion spells or effects increases by +2.
These effects last for 3 hours. When reverting they transform over 3 rounds granting them a small amount of warning to get back to the surface or to a source of air.
Moderate transmutation; CL 7th; Brew Potion, polymorph; Price 300 gp.
