Jump Drive[edit]
A vehicle equipped with a jump drive can teleport or plane shift via expending specialized fuel. The jump drive is a magitech device which consumes astral dewfrost to transport a vehicle and all of its inhabitants to a location. Jump drives either teleport (as teleport) or plane shift (as plane shift) depending on the model, and another model is capable of both. Jumping is a 1 round action, and the amount of dewfrost required for each jump depends on the size of the vehicle. Medium vehicles and smaller require 1 dose, Large requires 2 doses, Huge requires 4 doses, Gargantuan requires 8 doses, Colossal requires 16 doses, and ships larger than Colossal require 32 doses.
After the teleport or plane shift is resolved the jump drive is on cooldown for 1 hour before it can be used again. The effective caster level of the spells they duplicate is the level of the vehicle's pilot, or 9th, whichever is higher. Unlike consuming astral dewfrost there aren't any other downsides beyond the typical spell's effects and the cooldown. The effect is supernatural and has no save, but only applies to those within the vehicle.
Jump drive activation come with obvious audio and visual effects. It generally cannot be stopped unless the jump drive is destroyed. Jump drives appear as large turbines, the smallest about the size of a car engine that weights about 500 lbs.
