Shadowblade
A shadowblade is a ninja that forgoes sneak attack, rather relying on flashes of psychic inspirations and weapons made entirely of her own ki.
Class: Ninja
Level: 1st-20th
Replaces: Sneak Attack
Benefit: A shadowblade gain the following class features:
Armor Proficiency: A shadowblade is proficient with light armor, medium armor and all shields (except tower shields).
Combat-Trained (Ex): A shadowblade gains a single [combat] feat she qualifies for at 1st level. A shadowblade counts her base attack bonus as equal to her ninja level for the purpose of meeting prerequisites, if higher. Additionally due to superior mental discipline, a shadowblade's base will save is equal to 2 + 1/2 her class (like a Wizard).
This ability replaces the sneak attack dice gained at 1st level.
Ki Weapon (Su): A 2nd level shadowblade is capable of forming weapons out of her ki. This functions as the ability to create weapons of the mindblade magus's psychic pool ability, except the shadowblade draws from her ki pool rather than her psychic pool. If the shadowblade throws a weapon made with this ability, she is instead throw a copy of the weapon which vanishes after 1 round, the copy weapon only carries the magical capabilities of the ki weapon until the attack is resolved.
At 7th level she can manifest her ki weapon as a swift action, and as a free action at 11th level.
Shadow Strike (Su): A 3rd level can enhance her weapon with shadow energy as a move action, or while drawing the weapon as part of a move action. The next attack made with the imbued weapon while imbued deals an extra 1d8 points of damage, whether the attack hit or miss the energy is discharged. If she sheath or drop the imbued weapon, the energy dissipate, but she may throw it. At 6th level and each 3 levels thereafter the shadow strike deals an extra 1d8 point of damage. This is precision damage and is not multiplied on a critical hit. A shadowblade may imbue her weapon as a free action by spending 1 point of ki, allowing her to deal shadow strike on consecutive attacks.
This ability replaces any further instances of sneak attack.
Weapon Training (Ex): At 5th level a shadowblade gains a fighter’s weapon training ability, using her ninja level as her effective fighter level. Instead of choosing a weapon group, the bonus applies to any weapon created by her ki weapon class feature. The shadowblade does not gain any further weapon group.
