Circle Warden
A particular brand of inquisitor who serves druidic circles, the circle warden acts as protectors of sacred groves and natural land on the behalf of druids. Some circle wardens serve effectively as police within druidic enclaves and toward nearby communities.
Circle wardens are often known for their staves and spears, and ruthless enforcement of the druidic laws.
Class: Inquisitor
Level: 1st-18th
Replaces: Deity’s Favored Weapon, Monster Lore, Detect Alignment, Solo Tactics, Teamwork feats and Discern Lies.
Benefit: A circle warden gains the following class feature:
Power of Nature: The circle warden gains one domain selected from the animal and terrain domains. The 1st-through 6th-level bonus spells from this domain are added to the circle warden’s spell list. A circle warden may select druidic as one of her languages.
This ability alters the inquisitor’s domain ability and the inquisitor's proficiency with her deity’s favored weapon.
Woodland Sage (Ex): The circle warden adds her Wisdom modifier on Handle Animal, Knowledge (geography) and Knowledge (nature) skill checks, in addition to her Intelligence modifier.
This ability replaces monster lore.
Woodland Stride (Ex): Starting at 2nd level, a circle warden may move through any sort of undergrowth (such as natural thorns, briars, overgrown areas, and similar terrain) at her normal speed and without taking damage or suffering any other impairment. Thorns, briars, and overgrown areas that have been magically manipulated to impede motion, however, still affect her.
This ability replaces detect alignment.
Sacred Ground (Ex): A 3rd level circle warden gains the favored terrain class feature as a ranger, but she only selects a single terrain. The bonuses he gains while in this terrain increase by 2 at 8th level and every 5 levels thereafter.
Starting at 4th level, a circle warden can declare a new terrain as her favored terrain. This requires studying the terrain in a process that requires 1 hour of time within the terrain. Once the new terrain is declared as her favored terrain, it remains her favored terrain until the circle warden declares a new favored terrain.
At 7th level, a circle warden gains Blessed Hunter as a bonus feat. The territory she chooses with the Blessed Hunter feat must always be a location that matches her favored terrain. When the circle warden chooses a new favored terrain, she can also choose a new territory with the Blessed Hunter feat. At 10th level, she gains Blessed Hunter’s Stride as a bonus feat. At 13th level, she gains Blessed Hunter’s Focus as a bonus feat, except he treats her inquisitor level as her hunter level for the purposes of that feat.
This ability replaces solo tactics and teamwork feats.
Natural Communion (Sp): At 5th level, the Green Faith marshal gains the ability to cast commune with nature once per week.
This ability replaces discern lies.
