Circle Warden

A particular brand of inquisitor who serves druidic circles, the circle warden acts as protectors of sacred groves and natural land on the behalf of druids. Some circle wardens serve effectively as police within druidic enclaves and toward nearby communities.

Class: Inquisitor

Level: 1st-18th

Replaces: Deity’s Favored Weapon, Domain, Monster Lore, Detect Alignment, Solo Tactics, Teamwork feats and Discern Lies.

Benefit: A circle warden gains the following class feature:

Weapon Proficiency: A circle warden gains proficiency with a martial weapon of her choice. Alternatively, she may trade proficiency with medium armor for proficiency with an exotic weapon of her choice, or for proficiency with all martial weapons.

This ability replaces the inquisitor's proficiency with the favored weapon of her deity and optionally her medium armor proficiency.

Druidic Training: The circle warden may chooses her spells from both the inquisitor and druid spell list, if a spell appears on both list then the circle warden uses whichever is lowest level. Druids spell of 6th level or higher do not count as being on the circle warden spell list. She may select druidic as one of her languages and adds Handle Animal and Knowledge (geography) to her list of class skills.

This ability replaces the inquisitor's domain.

Judgment (Su): A circle warden gain access to the purging judgment below:

Purging: This judgment enhances the inquisitor’s weapons with the wrath of nature. The inquisitor’s weapons automatically bypass the damage reduction of creatures of the aberration and undead type, except for DR/—. At 6th level, while this judgment is active any undead she has destroyed count as having been destroyed by positive energy when beneficial. At 10th level her weapons automatically bypass the regeneration of such creatures.

This ability replaces the smiting judgment, but does not prevent an inquisitor who traded judgment with another archetype to take this archetype.

Wilderness Lore (Ex): The circle warden adds her Wisdom modifier on Handle Animal, Knowledge (geography), Knowledge (nature) and Knowledge (religion) skill checks, in addition to her Intelligence or Charisma modifier.

This ability replaces monster lore.

Woodland Stride (Ex): Starting at 2nd level, a circle warden may move through any sort of undergrowth (such as natural thorns, briars, overgrown areas, and similar terrain) at her normal speed and without taking damage or suffering any other impairment. Thorns, briars, and overgrown areas that have been magically manipulated to impede motion, however, still affect her.

This ability replaces detect alignment.

Trackless Step (Ex): Starting at 3rd level, a circle warden leaves no trail in natural surroundings and cannot be tracked. She may choose to leave a trail if so desired.

This ability replaces solo tactics.

Combat Style: At 3rd level a circle warden chooses a ranger's combat style and gain one her style feat as a bonus feat. At 6th level and each 6 levels thereafter, the circle warden gain another feat from her combat style list.

This ability replaces all teamwork feats.

Natural Communion (Sp): At 5th level, the circle warden gains the ability to cast commune with nature once per day.

This ability replaces discern lies.
