Noble Chemist

A noble chemist is either educated by a noble, or are themselves of aristocratic background. Instead of being taught to meddle in poison, like street alchemist, a noble chemist is highly educated on the technical skills. Their sheltered education has shielded them from dangerous chemicals used in typical alchemical getups, and the alchemist's more criminal skills, but has rewarded them with unusual skills much more suited for a socialite.

Class: Alchemist

Level: 1st, 2nd, 6th, 8th, 10th

Replaces: Class Skill, Poison Use, Swift Poisoning, Poison Resistance, Poison Immunity

Benefit: A noble chemist receive the following class features:

Weapon Proficiency: A noble chemist chooses a single light or one-handed melee martial weapon. She is proficient with that weapon.

Class Skill: A noble chemist adds Diplomacy, Intimidate, Perform and Knowledge (Nobility) to her list of class skills, instead of Disable Device, Sleight of Hand and Survival.

Inspired Technique (Ex): A 2nd level noble chemist gains a pool of inspiration equal to her Charisma modifier (minimum of 1) and the Numerical Alchemy discovery. Unlike an investigator, she cannot use inspiration for free on certain skills. If she gains levels in a class that has the inspiration class feature, the noble chemist adds her Charisma bonus to her inspiration pool and may use her inspiration normally.

At 6th level she also Inspired Alchemy feats as a bonus feat, even if she does not meet the prerequisites. At 10th level she gains the Extra Inspiration feat as a bonus feat.

This ability replaces poison use, swift poisoning and poison immunity.

Socialite (Ex): A 2nd level noble chemist gains a vigilante's social talent she meets the prerequisite of. She uses her alchemist level as her effective vigilante level. For the purpose of vigilante social talents, a noble chemist does not have a vigilante identity and is always considered to be in her social identity. At 8th level she gains another vigilante social talent.

This ability replaces poison resistance +2 and poison resistance +6.

Medium Armor Proficiency (Ex): At 5th level, a noble chemist become used to wearing cumbersome attire from official functions that she becomes proficient with medium armor.

This ability replaces poison resistance +4.
