This icy bluish-turquoise gemstone warms easily to the touch. The gem itself is set into a platinum setting, laced over with a spider's webbing of the metal. It appears a bit dingy and dirty, as if ill-cared for.
Acacite is rarely used in jewelry as it has associations with poor luck and ill-fates to those in possession of it. The largest cache of the gem was located during an anthropological dig underneath the site of a bloody civil war battle from some several hundred years prior.
Once per owner, a terrible luck may befall the possessor. After rolling a successful saving throw against any effect, the DM may instead force the owner to reroll with a –2 penalty. This curse does not apply to any hag using the gem as a heartstone or hag eye.
