Barrage Sharpshooter[edit]

Rather than carefully placed shots one at a time, the barrager excels in overpowering his enemy with a hail of arrows.

Class: Sharpshooter

Level: 2nd

Replaces: If you select this class feature, you lose the Sneaky Shot ability, and the Hail of Arrows ability, and any abilities that augment the previous abilities (Improved Sneaky Shot, Improved Hail of Arrows, Greater Sneaky Shot, and Deadly Shower).

Benefit: You gain the Barrage ability and the Quickshot ability as detailed below.

Barrage (Ex): At second level, the sharpshooter gains the ability to loose extra attacks as part of a full attack. When taking the full attack action, the sharpshooter may take a -2 penalty to attack in order to make another attack at his highest bonus, which is also affected by the penalty. The penalty is reduced by one at level four, and disappears completely at level nine. The sharpshooter gains another attack at the same attack bonus at level eleven. Do not add any ability score to damage when using this class feature from any source, even from the sharpshooter feat or from a mighty bow.

Quickshot (Ex): At level eight, the sharpshooter gains the ability to make even more attacks each round. By spending four aim points as a free action as part of a full attack (usable multiple times), the sharpshooter may loose an extra arrow at his highest attack bonus. Each extra arrow forces the sharpshooter to take a cumulative -2 to all attacks that round; thus, loosing three arrows would require one to spend 12 Aim Points, and all attacks the sharpshooter would make during that round take a -6 penalty. At level sixteen, this penalty is reduced to -1 for every extra attack made by Quickshot. Do not add any ability score to damage when using this class feature from any source, even from the sharpshooter feat or from a mighty bow.
