Black Mithral[edit]

While mithral is a gleaming and silvery material, who behave a 'noble' metal worked by the greatest craftmen. This industrial mithral variant was purposely exposed to various impurities, causing it to take a black color and a rougher texture, as a result of the processes used in making it. Black mithral can be polished and worked to give it a gleaming, smooth surface but it never loses it black coloration.

A weapon or armor made of black mithral behave much like a mithral, it is heavier because of the impurities, weight 75% of the item original weight rather than 50%. This does not affect any other aspect of the material, such as the increased max dexterity. Unlike normal mithral, black mithral does not rust and is completely immune to corrosion effects.

A weapon made of black mithral ignores hardness of 10 or less. If a medium armor is made of black mithral it grants DR 1/adamantine, if it is heavy armor it grants DR 2/adamantine instead. Black mithral is always masterwork in, the price has been taken in account in the price below.
