The queen, exasperated by the braggadocio of a neighboring queendom and their claim of possessing the most luxurious terry cloth linens, demanded of the court wizard to prepare something that was "absorbent, yet soft to the touch" before the ambassadors arrived in a fortnight, so that she may rub their faces in it, and watch as their tears are quickly soaked up by their superior decadence and plushness. The wizard gathered the fey of the forest, the lady of the lake and even the sprites of the bog, and through rituals long thought lost, and a few new ones made up on the spot, did they imbue and weave a drying cloth suitable for the queen's rivalrous request. This is the result.
Often made of special materials, these towels clean surfaces they touch as prestidigitation as well as wipe away moisture and dampness. The towel always stays clean, fluffy and fresh.
