Cauldron Chanter

The Cauldron Chanter is a class for the sort of caster who likes to stay far out of combat.

Becoming a Cauldron Chanter

Cauldron Chanters generally pursue this class because they are NPC casters that want to force the players to do their bidding, but players may choose to play this class for a less combat-oriented campaign.

Entry Requirements

Skills:	Spellcraft 8 ranks OR Psicraft 8 ranks OR Truespeak 8 ranks.
Spellcasting:	You must be able to do something magical of some sort.

Class Features

All of the following are class features of the Cauldron Chanter.

Cauldron Chant: The Cauldron Chanter can make any of her spells, spell-like abilities, psionic powers, manifestations, etc. hit anybody on the plane as long as the ability does not have a Personal range and either targets or is centered on a specific character. The extra time and difficulty to cast the ability is dependent on the ability's original range, how well she knows the target's name, and what body parts of theirs she possesses. Independent of the difficulty, she always needs a cauldron filled with boiling liquid.

Body Preserver: At level 2, the Cauldron Chanter can preserve five body parts as though they were alive as long as she stays within 10' of them at all times.

Mystic Riddle: At level 2, the Cauldron Chanter can speak indecipherable riddles with a time delay. Anyone who hears the riddle will only understand it after that much time has passed.

Interplanar Interference: At level 3, when the Cauldron Chanter uses Cauldron Chant, she can target anybody on any plane, not just the one she's on.

Longer Connection: At level 3, whenever the Cauldron Chanter uses Cauldron Chant on someone who is on the same plane as her, she can cast spells on that target for the next five rounds as though she were using Cauldron Chant without paying any additional costs or spending extra time.
