Channeler of saidar[edit]

Channelers of saidar include all those that have the capacity to embrace saidar, from Wise Ones to Wilders to Aes Sedai.

Making a Channeler of saidar[edit]

Channelers of saidar are a form of caster. All channelers of saidar were originally female, even if they aren't now.

Abilities: The sheer quantity of saidar one can channel is determined by her Charisma and Constitution modifiers. She can use either Dexterity or Wisdom to determine weaving skill and save DCs.

Races: Ogier do not possess channelers.

Alignment: Any.

Starting Gold: 6d4×10 gp (150 gp).

Starting Age: Simple.

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Channeler of saidar.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Channelers of saidar are proficient with daggers and quarterstaves.

Energy Pool: The Channeler of saidar has an energy pool that can contain up to 150 + her Constitution score × 4 points. She naturally regains 1 point of energy every 10 minutes, and can regain an additional number of points equal to 5 + her Constitution modifier by resting for 1 hour.

Energy Per Round: Channelers of saidar cannot spend more energy in any given round than 10 + their Charisma modifier.

Save DCs: The Save DC of a weave that the Channeler of saidar channels is equal to 10 + half her character level + her Wisdom or Dexterity modifier, whichever is higher. If she Ties Off a weave, that weave's Save DC decreases by 3.

See Channeling (Su): The Channeler of saidar can see a white glow around a character if that character is also a Channeler of saidar, and has spent energy during this round. In addition, the Channeler of saidar can identify weaves being created through the use of saidar, although she will only know the elements involved unless she knows that same weave herself.

Weaves Known: The Channeler of saidar knows a number of Weaves equal to her class level. Learning a new Weave can only be done if she meets the prerequisites.

Form Circle (Su): As a standard action, the Channeler of saidar can add a new willing Channeler of saidar or Channeler of saidin within Close range to the circle she is currently in, or form a new circle with them. If she uses this to form a new circle, she becomes the leader of that circle. Giving leadership to another Channeler is a standard action. Leaving a circle is a standard action. While in a circle, the leader's Energy Per Round value becomes equal to the Energy Per Round value of the Channeler with the highest value, plus 2 for each other Channeler in the circle, but no other members of the circle may channel. Energy spent while channeling is drawn from all Channelers in the circle evenly, with any remainder being drawn from the leader's Pool. No more than 72 channelers may be in a circle, the number of Channelers of saidar in the circle cannot be more than 13 + 13 × the number of Channelers of saidin, and there cannot be more Channelers of saidin in the circle than Channelers of saidar.

Element Affinity: At level 3, the Channeler of saidar chooses either Air, Water, or Spirit. She gets a +2 bonus to Save DCs with weaves that include the chosen element, and can spend an additional 2 points of energy per round on weaves that include the chosen element.
