Crossbow Assist Tool

This tool is a special addon to manual crossbows, when attached to crossbows it reduces the reload time by one step, i.e. a move action becomes a swift action, a swift action to a free action which lets you fire that weapon as many times in a full attack action as you could attack if you were using a bow.

The reduced load time stacks with Rapid Reload. This can not be added on repeating crossbows.

An advanced one can be created or bought for use, when attached to a crossbow it lowers reload time by 2 steps, this also stacks with Rapid Reload.

Craft (Tool) DC 15 for basic tool, DC 22 for advanced tool.

• 35 gp for advanced tool for hand crossbow
• 25 gp for basic tool for light crossbow
• 50 gp for advanced for light crossbow
• 30 gp for basic tool for heavy crossbow
• 70 gp for advanced tool for heavy crossbow
