Dodge Roll
Psychic Arrow (Counter)
Level: 1
Initiation Action: Immediate
Range: 0
Target: Self
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: None

As the orc swung his mighty greataxe, the elven archer sprang forward, rolling into a firing stance behind the Orc. A single lock of the elf's white hair fell to the ground where he just was, and the confused orc closed his eyes and waited for death, knowing he had been beaten.

As an immediate action upon being attacked, or subjected to an effect that allows a Reflex save, as long as you are not caught flat-footed against the attack, you can initiate this counter. Upon doing so, you make a Tumble check, versus a DC equal to either the attack roll, or the effect's normal save DC. If you succeed, you can immediately tumble up to your base speed. If this doesn't take you out of the area of effect of what you were saving against, this has no effect, other than robbing you of your chance to make a Reflex save against it. Otherwise, if you manage to make it out of the area, you incur no ill effects from it, since you weren't in it's area when the effect occurred. If you dodge a melee attack with this maneuver, the attacker is denied their Dexterity bonus against your next attack, so long as you make that attack before the creature's next turn.
