Dreadtheft
2nd-level necromancy
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Self (30ft Line)
Components: V, S
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 Minute
Casters: Sorcerer, Warlock

A beam of necromantic energy 30ft long and 5ft wide blasts from you in a direction you choose for the spell's duration, forcing all targets within the beam to make a Charisma saving throw. On a failed save, the target takes 2d4 points of Necrotic damage; On a successful save, the target takes half as much damage. Each time the spell deals damage to a creature, the caster regains hit points equal to half the amount of Necrotic damage dealt.

On each of your turns before the spell ends, you can use your action to deal this damage again to all creatures in the line's path; As part of this action, you can change the direction in which the line blasts from you before the damage is dealt. The spell ends if you use your action to do anything else.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d4 for each slot level above 2nd.
