Ectoplasmic Resin[edit]
Ectoplasmic resin is a viscous pale alchemical substance that glows a faint, faded white and is quickly absorbed into solid matter upon leaving its alchemical container.
A physical object coated in ectoplasmic resin is capable of touching and being touched by ghosts and other spectral and incorporeal beings as though they were made of flesh and bone. A weapon coated in ectoplasmic resin becomes a ghost touch weapon, and deals +1d6 points of extra damage to incorporeal foes. Likewise, armors coated in this viscous translucent substance become ghost touch armors.
Any object coated in ectoplasmic resin takes on an ephemeral whitish glow that casts shadowy illumination in a 20-foot radius.
Ectoplasmic resin quickly loses its extraordinary properties when exposed to atmosphere, and any application of the resin lasts 1 minute. Applying ectoplasmic resin to a weapon or armor, or other medium-sized object is a standard action.
Ectoplasmic resin is valued in at 300 gp per dose, and comes in an air-tight vial. The components for it are fairly rare. Especially ectoplasm, the residual substance left behind by spirits fettered to the material plane, requires very specific and often haunted locations to be harvested.
