Eleonor, the Archelf[edit]
Eleonor the Archelf grants powerful elvish abilities to anyone who bind her.
Level: 5th
Binding DC: 20
Special Requirement: Yes
Legend[edit]
Eleonor, the Archelf, was said to be the most elfish or elven lady. She believed herself and by extension the elven race was meant for global supremacy, with other races acting as second class citizens pets bootlickers favored serfs. A master archer, tactician, and bladesinger, she decided to start the conquest pacification civilization of the known world. Eleonor was initially successful; however, her vision on elven supremacy was not as accurate as she thought, as her elven soldiers quickly started dying to common diseases, battles in unfamiliar terrain, and superior numbers. She blamed it all on the elves' constitution penalty bad luck and attempted to keep going, until most of her army was annihilated by dwarves.
Eleonor was not slain, however, but simply driven back to her homeland, where she already started preparations for her next assault. Her elven compatriots were not too happy about that, given it would take them hundreds of years to recover from their losses, never mind mount a bigger assault. Eleonor's fury was legendary, and she stormed off to return to the 'Land of the Elves' and was never seen again. Rumors has it the Gods themselves grew tired of her and ejected her out of creation, while other legends point out that there was no 'Land of Elves' and she only found unreality when she sought for it.
Eleonor is now a vestige, more than willing to infect aid any binder courageous enough to bear call upon her.
Special summoning[edit]
If the binder isn't an elf, the binding DC increases by 4. Eleonor will not make pacts with drow, dwarf, or orc binders.
Manifestation[edit]
Eleonor appears as an ethereal and very elfish elf lady; she says something nonsensical, like "I am disminished!" or "The elves are waiting!" as the pact is sealed and severe wind blows through the entire area, possibly knocking the binder on his ass.
Sign[edit]
The binder takes on many of the physical characteristics of an elf, usually the closest kind of elf to the binder's original race. If the binder is an elf, then her physical characteristics become somehow more elfish and more Tolkienesque. The binder is also treated as an elf whenever doing so would be advantegous or disadvantageous and disguised as an elf instead of a member of her original race.
Influence[edit]
The binder becomes extremely arrogant, becomes an elf supremacist, and treats her non-elven allies with disdain, at best treating them like favored pets. She only uses elven equipment when possible, disliking using equipment crafted by any other races. She becomes overburdening, patronizing, and loses all sense of urgency. She also becomes incredibly vengeful; she gains the effect of the vengeful flaw with no bonus feat while under Eleonor's influence, with drows, dwarves, and orcs as chosen enemy groups. The effects of this flaw stack with the actual flaw.
Granted Abilities[edit]
Bladesinger[edit]
Upon binding Eleonor, the binder can either choose Bladesinger or Master Markman.
The binder does not suffer any arcane spell failure chance when casting in mithral armor, and she gains the benefits of the einhander feat (but only with one-handed swords).
As a full-attack action, she can cast a spell, use a spell-like ability, or use one of her vestige supernatural abilities, and make an single attack with her longsword with her highest base attack bonus. While doing so, the parry bonus granted by her einhander feat increases by 1 until the start of her next turn.
Elven Eyes[edit]
The binder's vision greatly improves, especially at long range, quartering the penalty based on distance when using Spot.
Elven Traits[edit]
While bound to Eleonor, the binder has all of the racial traits of a high elf, with the exception of the ability score modifiers. She does not lose the traits of her old race and retains her old type (with the added elf subtype) and base land speed.
If the binder is an elf, she instead gains a +2 bonus on intelligence and charisma.
The binder needs to display Eleonor's sign in order to benefit from this ability.
Revenge of the Elves[edit]
As a move action, the binder can summon a keen fey longbow or longsword. Its craftsmanship is so fine that it always falls under greater magic weapon, using your binder level as your caster level. The summoned weapon possesses the special ability of an oathbow, except you may use it without the usual 24 hours delay if it kills the chosen creature. You are always proficient with your conjured weapon and may only have one conjured at a time. If the weapon leaves your hand, it immediately vanishes into the aether.
Master Marksman[edit]
Upon binding Eleonor, the binder can either choose Bladesinger or Master Markman.
The binder gains access to the secrets of elvish archery; as long as she is bound with Eleonor, she gains the benefits of the following feats: Rapid Shot, Sharpshooter, and Woodland ArcherRotW.
Unearthly Presence[edit]
As a standard action, the binder can make herself very noticeable, taking a −10 penalty on Disguise and Hide checks. While doing so, however, all non-hostile creature are treated as being one step friendlier towards you than normal (to a maximum of Friendly). This is only an 'initial attitude' — if you take any actions that harm or offend them, their attitude will adjust appropriately. She also gains a +4 bonus to Intimidate checks, and if she successfully demoralizes a creature in combat, she inflicts a single daunt level on that creature.
While using this ability, she gains the Unearthly Grace ability of a nymph.
The binder may only use Unearthly Presence for 1 round per binder level per day, although the use needs not be continuous.
