The priestess showed off her fierce tattoo of a leopard on the small of her back and told us it was for her protection. The bard, smirking, then pointed out that it radiated an aura of conjuration.
Essence of leopard is a distillation of summoning magic in magical liquid tattoo form. When consumed, the liquid bonds with the drinker and causes a tattoo of a leopard to appear on their body. At any time after, the tattoo may be touched, and a name called out (naming the animal) and calling it forth from the magic of the tattoo. The loyal animal is called into place adjacent of the caller, where it follows the mental commands of its master to the best of its ability. The animal can be returned to the tattoo again by touching it and calling its name. The creature rests as a tattoo and regains HP as normal during this rest. If the animal is slain, the master is dealt nonlethal damage equal to the animal's HP total and leopard immediately disappears back into the tattoo where it cannot be called again for 1 week. Any barding or gear the animal is wearing when returned back into the tattoo remains with it. Other gear it is simply carrying falls to the ground. The drinker chooses the location of the tattoo as well as the animal’s name and gender.
While in tattoo form, it reduces fall damage taken as if the fall were 10 feet shorter.
A successful erase spell or dispel magic causes the tattoo to vanish for 1 week.
Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item, charm animal, summon nature's ally II, a bottle of tattoo ink.
Cost to Create: 2,500 gp, 200 EXP, 5 days.
