1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.

One hit is enough to pulverize the bones of mortals into paste.

A hammer used by a giant executioner who would grind the bones of his victims, it is oversized and heavy beyond belief. Swinging it around is dangerous for everyone involved.

This dramatically oversized metal maul has a lopsided head and uneven weight distribution, for maximum crushing powers. To wield it is to strain the weight limitations of many mortals, and each swing devastates anything it touches. Its unique heft gives a few options in battle.

Hammer Smash!: As a standard action you may make a single attack. The attack ignores damage reduction (except DR/-) and on a critical threat the target is staggered for 1 round. If it is a confirmed critical hit, the target is rendered prone and staggered for 1 round.

Hammer Sweep!: As a standard action, the gigas hammer may be swung in a wide arc that hits any three squares connected within your reach. They all are subject to your attack roll and if you hit they must make a Reflex save, DC 10 + 1/2 BAB + Str modifier, or fall prone, save negates.

Hammer Trample!: You may trample with your hammer, crushing everything underfoot as you charge forward and use the giant hammer head as a huge battering ram. If used as a battering ram to break through objects, you gain a +1 bonus on your check for every 10 feet you move.

The gigas hammer requires Str 17 to wield in the first place, with a -2 penalty on attack rolls. At Str 21, the penalty to attack rolls vanishes. In addition, users take penalties as if they were wearing medium armor (with a reduction in speed and loss of class features) though you do not require heavy armor proficiency to use the hammer.

Sunder checks made using the gigas hammer get a +2 bonus. This stacks with the sundering function of Hammer Trample.

If you have tower shield proficiency, you may take cover behind it as if it were an actual tower shield. In addition when taking a total defense action you gain a +4 shield bonus to AC from the bulk of the hammer head protecting you.
