Where other rangers are tougher in certain conditions and call upon animals to stand at their side, you find that the only help you need in vanquishing your foes comes from within.
Benefit: At third level, you gain the ability to designate one specific foe within 100' who you are aware of and who doesn't have full cover or concealment from you as your quarry with a swift action. If you use this ability to designate a different foe as your quarry, the first one ends. You gain a +2 bonus on Hide, Listen, Move Silently, Spot, and Survival checks when using these skills against your quarry, and deal +2d6 damage against quarried enemies. This damage increases by 1d6 for every three class levels you possess (+3d6 at level 6, +4d6 at level 9, +5d6 at level 12, and so on). At level 7 and every 4 levels afterwards you may designate another foe as your quarry with each use of this ability (so two with one use at level 7, three with one use at level 11, and so forth).
