Hairless
Some creatures are naturally hairless. Among the Canin, there are four known hairless breeds: the Chinese Crested, Peruvian Inca Orchid, American Hairless Terrier, and Xoloitzcuintli. Other Canin, canines, Gnolls, dog-like monstrous humanoids, Cat-Folk, or any other humanoid, monstrous humanoid, animal, magical beast, etc that is normally naturally covered in fur or hair (not, humans, dwarves, elves and the like) could be born hairless due to either a natural mutation or being a new hairless breed.
Benefit: Heat doesn’t bother you at all. In fact, you love the heat. You can sit comfortably within inches of a fire for hours as long as you don’t actually touch the flames even if others find your skin too hot to touch. You gain Heat Endurance and Improved Heat Endurance as Bonus Feats
Drawback: You are extremely vulnerable to cold weather. An unprotected Hairless Canin must make the Fortitude save every 10 minutes in cold weather (below 40), every minute in severe cold or exposure (below 0), and takes 1d6 points of lethal damage every minute, must make a Fortitude save or take 1d4 nonlethal damage, and are affected as if by a chill metal spell if wearing metal armor or coming into contact with very cold metal in extreme cold (below -20). You also sunburn easily and are susceptible to acne. You are also considered by many to be quite ugly, resulting in a -2 Charisma
Special: You emit a lot of body heat, which doesn’t do anything for you. However, this is highly beneficial for your companions. In effect, you are a living space heater. Any companions who maintain physical contact are treated as having the Cold Endurance Feat for the duration of the contact. They will get too warm eventually though. After 10 minutes of physical contact, those who have been maintaining it must begin making Fortitude Saves DC 10+1 for every minute after 5. If the save fails, they have gotten too hot and must break the contact to cool down for a number of minutes equal to however long they maintained contact after the first 5.
Special 2: There is a 1-in-4 chance that a Hairless breed will be born with hair, either short and fuzzy or long and silky. These individuals are called Powder Puffs. Having this hair eliminates the -2 Charisma and makes you less susceptible to skin problems, but other than that, it is purely cosmetic. It provides no insulation and does nothing against cold weather
Roleplaying Ideas: You want to spend as much time as possible in a warm environment and will express your extreme displeasure if you must travel to a cold climate. You are aware that many consider you ugly and you may be sensitive about it or you may not care, proudly entering into World’s Ugliest competitions. You may suffer from various skin problems, which you most likely are quite sensitive about.
