An advance and specialized version of chill metal, this spell cause a weapon to become completely frozen over. This spell require a ranged touch attack against the wielder of the weapon, if it hit the weapon essentially become completely encased in ice. It essentially become a club (if light or one-handed) or greatclub (if two-handed) one size larger than the weapon was (with the associated penalty for wielding an oversized weapon) for the duration of the spell. In this from the weapon lose all of it enhancement and material benefit, essentially becoming completely mundane until freed. If the weapon was made of metal, it is also under the effect of chill metal for the duration, the caster does not need to concentrate and it grant a save as normal (using the DC of this spell).

If the weapon was enhanced to deal fire damage (such as through the flaming enhancement) the duration of this spell is halved, as the ice quickly melt. Alternatively if weapon is dealt at least 10 fire damage, or is use to deal or take 5 damage per caster the ice break or melt away early freeing the weapon.
