1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.

Usually an improvised weapon, heavy bottles are designed with a neck that gives a firm grip to remove the improvised weapon penalties. Functionally they serve as glass bottles, typically full of wine or some other liquid. In a pinch it can be used as a glass club which can take a surprising amount of punishment. It deals 1d4 bludgeoning damage, 20/x3, and usually weighs twice as much when full. Either intentionally as an attack action or by accident on a confirmed critical hit, you roll a DC 12 Strength check. On a success the glass breaks and becomes a piercing weapon that has a 19-20/x2 critical.

They are usually not made out of anything special do to their habit of breaking. It cannot break if made of stone or metal, but crystaline and glass objects still break as normal, with an increase on the DC equal to half the hardness of the special material, if any.
