A favourite of trickster mages everywhere, this spell is versatile, and potentially deadly. Needless to say, very few academies teach it anymore.
The caster takes control of a single spell or spell-like ability affecting the subject that has a timed duration (i.e. not instantaneous or permanent). The caster must first identify the spell or spell-like ability using Spellcraft in order to take control of it. That spell or spell-like ability now affects the caster instead of the subject for the duration of hijack spell, and any ongoing decisions that this spell or spell-like ability requires (including dismissing it, if posssible) are made by the caster instead. All costs of the spell or spell-like ability (aside from ongoing or round-by-round costs) are considered to have been paid by the original caster, and thus, do not need to be paid again by the caster of hijack spell. If the duration of the hijacked spell or spell-like ability runs out before hijack spell does, it ends normally; otherwise, it returns to its original caster when hijack spell ends.
