Rogues in their myriad forms across all ages of time have stolen hearts, taken lives, and secreted away valuables of all manner. However, a certain few have unlocked their potential - Whether through innate gifts, magical experimentation, intense training or powerful artifacts - To steal discreet slivers of time for themselves.

These few - Often called Hourglass Dervishes - Slip in and out of time as they move, allowing them to get where they need to go and get out again in unparalleled performances of chronurgical power. While every rogue knows a split second can save or end a life, only a special few can pull that instant out of thin air and into the present.

Martial Training[edit]

Beginning at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with medium armor and with scimitars.

Temporal Parkour[edit]

Beginning at 3rd level, whenever you use your Cunning Action, until the end of your next turn, all of your movement speeds increase by 10ft, andyou gain the ability to move along vertical surfaces on your turn without falling during the move.

At 9th level, this ability improves, increasing the movement speed bonus to 20ft, and allowing you to move across liquids without falling during the move. Additionally, your movement ignores nonmagical difficult terrain while this ability is active.

Temporal Rewind[edit]

Beginning at 3rd level, you can rewind time for yourself. Using the bonus action granted by your Cunning Action, you can magically teleport yourself up to your walking speed, to any unoccupied space you can see, provided you have occupied that space at some point since the end of your last turn.

When you do so, you regain hit points equal to half of the damage you have suffered since the end of your last turn.

Uncanny Recovery[edit]

Beginning at 9th level, when you use your Uncanny Dodge, you can choose to activate your Temporal Rewind as part of the same reaction. You cannot do so if you have already used your Cunning Action this turn, and when you use this feature, you cannot use your Cunning Action until the end of your next turn.

You can use Uncanny Recovery a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.

Chrono Step[edit]

Beginning at 9th level, you've learned to skip forward in time just as easily as you rewind. Using the bonus action granted by your Cunning Action, you can magically teleport yourself to any unoccupied space you can see within 30ft.

You can use this ability a number of times equal to one-half of your Proficiency Bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Short or Long Rest.

Time Out[edit]

Beginning at 13th level, you can forcefully shove a creature forward in time to disable it. When you successfully damage a creature with your Sneak Attack you can expend two uses of your Chrono Step ability to force the creature to succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against a DC of 8 + your Proficiency Bonus + your Dexterity modifier. On a failed save, the creature vanishes, being harmlessly thrown to another point in time. At the start of your next turn, the target reappears where it was or in the closest unoccupied space.

Buying Time[edit]

Beginning at 17th level, you've mastered the ability to manipulate and escape time. This grants you the following benefits.

  • You regain all expended uses of Uncanny Recovery when you finish a Short or Long Rest.
  • Whenever you land a successful Sneak Attack, you can expend one use of your Uncanny Recovery feature in order to regain one expended use of your Chrono Step feature.
  • You can expend 3 uses of your Chrono Step feature as an action to halt time for everyone but yourself. No time passes for other creatures, while you take an additional turn, during which you can use actions and move as normal; Additionally, you regain two expended uses of your Uncanny Recovery feature.
This effect ends early if one of the actions you use during this period, or any effects that you create during this period, affects a creature other than you or an object being worn or carried by someone other than you.
Once you use this feature to stop time in this way, you must finish a Short or Long Rest before you may do so again.
