I Have a Punning Clan [General] Using wordplay as well as swordplay... you have very annoyed enemies.Prerequisites: Int 13Benefit: If you and at least one other ally spend a swift action to spout terrible puns, you may cause one enemy that can hear you to take a -1 morale penalty to one roll in that round. Each additional ally that uses such a swift action grants one additional roll that takes the morale penalty. Unused penalized rolls from one round do not carry over into the next, and no more than one penalty can be applied per roll. Example: Bob the fighter is fighting a troll alongside Dave the rogue, who has a Punning Clan. They both spend a swift action to exchange terrible jokes and puns this round: "It appears this is a troll bridge, Dave!" "No, you actually pay the bridge troll, Bob. This is a highway troll!" Because of Bob's engagement in this badly written word play, Dave may now apply a -1 penalty to any one of the troll's rolls he has to make that round. However, Frank the GM has pissed off the dice gods, rolling nothing above a five for two attacks of opportunity and both claw attacks, thus Dave chooses to leave the troll's final bite unpenalized. However, the fates snicker upon Dave, as Frank rolls a natural twenty for the bite. A new round begins, but the option to penalize the troll must be regained via another bout of puns, as the unsed potential of last round's taunts has been wasted and fades out of existence.
