As you initiate this maneuver you create a handful of icicles in an unoccupied square. The target square must be adjacent to a solid surface. If the square is on the ground or a wall it behave as caltrops that uses your initiator level for it attack roll and it deals an additional point of cold damage on a hit.
If the chosen square is adjacent to the ceiling you may have the icicle fall at any point past the start of your next turn as a free action. Any creature directly below the square must make a Reflex save or take 2d6 points of cold damage and 2d6 points of piercing damage. If the target fail it Reflex save it is also staggered for 1 round from the intense pain.
After this maneuver's duration elapses the icicles immediately melt. The duration of this maneuver is instantaneous if used in cold weather or cold environment. You cannot trigger the trap version after it original duration elapses however.
