It Was Meant For Me [General] Prerequisites: No prerequisitesBenefit: Any AOE spell that affects your character must first "hit" your character (treat all AOE as if they were a ranged touch attack spell). If the AOE spell lasts longer than one turn (i.e. wall of fire), treat each turn as if a new ranged touch attack spell is cast (taking into account any new changes to the spell, like a diminishing damage per turn or such). Reflex saves are still applicable and happen before the attack roll. All other effects that relate to ranged touch spells (such as spell resistance) now apply to AOE spells. Note that this does not change other characters interactions with AOE spells as the AOE spell still acts as normal to the rest of the world. Example: A wizard casts web at your character. Normally your character is entangled whether or not he/she makes the reflex save. With this feat the wizard must make a ranged touch attack to hit your character. If the wizard misses, the spell does nothing. If it succeeds, proceed as normal.Normal: Characters may reflex save for half damage (or no damage with certain attributes such as the evasion feat) on AOE spells but will always be hit by them.
