Patron Name[edit]
K'iernavu the Maker of Deals is an immensely fat devil who is known for his lecherous behavior, horrible manners and penchant to make deals. He know his reputation as a deal-maker who abuse his authority and power and he embrace it, asking witches in his service absolutely unfair tasks and exploiting them for everything they are worth.
This make him a very bad patron to pick to anyone but the most desperate of witch. This is why this page isn't about how to deal with him, instead PC are expected to be stealing his powers.
Being a not particularly powerful devil, K'iernavu cannot grant power beyond planar boundaries. Thus he inscribe place part of his power on a coin and may only remove his power from it if he personally touches it. It is possible to take the coin from a dead patron witch who made a legit deal with him and seize his power for yourself. This annoy the devil to no end and he will despire the end of any Patron Witch who do something so foolish as steal from the great K'iernavu.
Special Requirement and Rules[edit]
K'iernavu prefer to deal with female non-good witches, but can deal with anyone ultimately. He is not picky and do not follow through his terms, trying to screw over the witch in the process.
If you made a legit deal with K'iernavu (why?) he will make one request every month. If the request is ignored or failed he will rescind all his spell granted and cause the patron witch to be able to prepare one less spell each day until he give the next task.
If you steal one of his coin he will be furious. He will attempt to send his minions to deal with you and steal back the coin. This usually result in encounters with fiends and cultists from time to time.
Spell Granted[edit]
This Patron grant the Witch the following spell, she add those spell to her spell list but she must prepare them normally.
- 1st— identify
- 2nd— expeditious invisibility
- 3rd— binding contract
- 4th— lesser planar ally
- 5th— contract seal
- 6th— planar ally
- 7th— false binding contract*
- 8th— greater planar ally
- 9th— gate
- *A false binding contract force them through the terms but not you. The variant of the can be identified through sense motive or spellcraft before the deal is made however.
Granted Abilities[edit]
Extended Stay (Ex)[edit]
You double the duration of any [Summoning] spell you use, this stack with Extend Spell. Additionally [Summoning] spell you cast have a minimum duration of 1 minute.
Golden Coin (Ex)[edit]
The Patron Witch start with a special gold coin, it is a required focus for all her granted spells and her hexes. If the coin is lost she may reacquire one by stealing from any patron Witch of K'iernavu or doing a task for him and being granted another.
Strained Relation (Ex)[edit]
You cannot flank with your familiar and it attitude is constantly unfriendly toward you. Yes this happen on legit deal as well. On the other hand whenever your familliar die you fall under the effect of good hope for 1 minute and may replace it with a 1 hour ritual with no penalty or gold cost.
Alternate Hexes[edit]
