This darkwood flute may be used ordinarily as a masterwork musical instrument, granting a +2 circumstance bonus on Perform (woodwind) checks. However, if played at night, the player may call upon the flute's magic, allowing its sound to echo further. The Listen DC modifier increase for distance is changed from +1 per 10 feet of distance to +1 per 100 feet of distance. However, other Listen DC modifier increases are doubled.
