Malaquian Slip Suit[edit]

This form-fitting body suit wears comfortably even when wet, leaving hands and feet free. Originally crafted by the malaquians, the patterns and crafting knowledge have passed on to other folk. The surface of the suit is slick and designed to be aqua-dynamic, providing a +2 circumstance bonus on both Escape Artist and Swim skill checks as a masterwork tool to the wearer. These suits come in a variety of colors and styles.

While providing no armor bonus, a malaquian slip suit can be enchanted as though it were armor (with no maximum Dexterity bonus limit, armor check penalty or arcane spell failure chance). A slip suit can also be enchanted in place of an amulet in the case of the amulet of natural armor. The cost of the suit is added onto the cost of the magic item component, thus a malaquian slip suit of natural armor +2 would cost 8,120 gp. If worn under armor or other heavy clothing, the skill bonuses are no longer granted to the wearer.

A sewster or professional leatherworker can make malaquian slip suits. The cost below is for Small and Medium-sized creatures. The cost for smaller suits is 100 gp + (20 divided by 2 for every size smaller than Small). The cost for larger suits is 100 gp + (20 times 2 for every size larger than Medium).

Weight: 2 lbs.

Cost: 120 gp
