Mana Engine [General]
Prerequisites: Ability to cast 1st level spellsBenefit: You have a chance of recovering the magical power you put into your spells through intense focus and training. When you would expend a spell slot casting a spell, you may make an ability check using your spellcasting ability score with a DC of 10 + twice the spell slot's spell level. On a success, the spell slot is not expended and you do not lose the spell prepared in the case of prepared spellcasters.
Special: This feat only applies to a single spell slot when casting a spell, even if the spell would expend more than one spell slot.
