Look at those beautiful glowbugs in the moonlight. They're so peaceful...
A type of glowbug with supernatural abilities, they are very passive and don't actively try to hurt anyone. Indeed, they can't, they are just bugs after all. However they are a form of living mobile trap, for they have the ability to calm any who enter their presence, possibly causing them to be harmed by other hostile creatures outside their influence. This is always done by accident, as the insects are mindless.
They are found in dark swamps, lighting up the way as they become active at night. Their young lay in the water until they pupate and grow.
Combat[edit]
Peacelight swarms do not have an attack, not even a swarm attack of distraction. Instead, their threat comes from their calming lights ability which occurs to creatures passing through the swarm, or the swarm passing over them.
Calming Lights (Su): Creatures which pass through or start their turn inside the peacelight swarm must make a DC 13 Will save or become dazed and affected by calm emotions. A creature must save each round they remain inside the swarm. This is a mind-affecting compulsion effect. The save DC is Constitution based.
Shed Light (Ex): Peacelight swarms shed light as a torch.
