This is a rectangular picture frame, at least 1 inch in frame width, specially enchanted to allow easy interaction with the picture realm.
Spell effects and other abilities (including weapon attacks) used by non-illustrated creatures or objects can pass through the barrier between the Plane of Pictures scene and its picture's surroundings, but they only count as 50% real. Shadow effects are half as real as they would otherwise be. Entry into or exit from the scene only requires a DC 30 Autohypnosis check and a full round of meditation. Clambering out of the scene can be done with a standard action and a DC 10 Fortitude save to avoid death by artistic organ failure.
Tome of Prowess Version: Entry or exit from the scene only requires a DC 20, rank 4 Concentration check, as a full-round action.
Prerequisites: DC 40 Craft check, DC 50 Autohypnosis check. Failure results in half of the materials (but not XP) being lost. Tome of Prowess Version: DC 35, rank 10 Concentration check.
Cost to Create: 8000 gp, 640 EXP, 16 days.
