Protect the Innocents

You cannot bear to see the innocent being hurt or killed. That may be the result of your upbringing, a code of honor or perhaps a keen sense of sympathy.

Effect: If there are innocent creatures around while you are in combat, you take a −2 penalty to Attack Rolls, AC, DCs, and skill checks unless you are actively protecting them. If you see an innocent get seriously maimed or killed, you take a Daunt level which lasts for 24 hours and cannot be removed. You may only acquire a number of daunt levels this way equal to ¼th of your character level.

If you possess the rage special ability and see an innocent get seriously maimed or killed, you must make a DC 20 Will save or immediately activate your rage at the start of your next turn. You cannot voluntarily end your rage until the creature who committed the deed is defeated, slain, or ceases being a valid target. This replaces the normal penalty for seeing an innocent getting maimed or killed, and you may willingly fail the will save.

Benefit: Any bonus feat for which you meet the prerequisites.
