Scrap Plate

An 'alternative' to proper armor, scrap plate is very much a cheap 'armor', favored by kobolds. Made from various metal plates, patches of fur and leather and other assorted material salvaged from other broken armor and everyday items, this armor is of low quality. Despite being medium armor and requiring medium armor proficiency, scrap plate counts as heavy armor for the purpose of class features and movement.

The only upside is that the armor requires minimum maintenance and the material to repair it is plenty.
