A small turtlike being with blue skin and a curled tail grins at you evilly. It sprays you with bubbles from its mouth before jumping into the water.

Squirtles resemble turtles, although they usually stand erect. Their arms end in stubby hands which are capable of holding and using equipment. Squirtles always have blue scales, and their shells range from light peach to dark orange, but are usually brown.

Squirtles are selfish and greedy creatures who delight in the humiliation of others. They generally rove the countryside in gangs so that they can be spectators for the cruel pranks that are inevitably performed on innocent bystanders by their fellow gang members. Squirtles practice all manner of theft and extortion, but rarely resort to violence.

Strangely, despite the fact that Squirtles are uniformly criminal in their native environment, human society is relatively tolerant of Squirtles. In part, this is because many Squirtles are captured by Pokémasters, and a good trainer can make good use out of a Squirtle's water generation abilities. Furthermore, while Squirtles ask extortive prices to put out fires, it is still vastly cheaper to pay off Squirtles than it is to allow a city to burn.

Combat[edit]

Bubble (Su): A Squirtle can emit a highly accurate stream of acidic bubbles. They always hit, and inflict 1d3 points of damage for every 2 hit dice the Squirtle has, with a minimum of 1d3.

Skills: Squirtles get a +2 Racial bonus to Pick Pocket, Open Locks, and Move Silently.
