What Cid said, but I would say this can make an exotic weapon. Just a dull exotic weapon. A bit less dull. It's circumstantial now (and mostly unnecessary since a coup de grace is usually fatal anyway) but now it has a purpose. Maybe would be nice if it it made coup de graces as a standard action, or maybe something to do with decreasing the cost of vorpal, or something something darkside. Remains neutral, but leaning a bit closer to good. UPDATE: Now there is a purpose of the weapon, if circumstantial. Good enough for me.

Damage die
