Reasonably well balanced. The flavor text seems a bit bland- but you did a good job of making the racial traits flavorful by themselves. |
Wat[edit]
"If the runetouched human is not a spellcaster, they can expunge the magical energy in their bonus spell slots as part of an attack action, dealing an additional +1d6 untyped damage per spell slot used." Wat --Fluffykittens (talk) 07:58, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
- It's supposed to work like Arcane Strike. Is it not clear? I shall review. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 07:59, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
- Non-spellcasters usually don't get spell slots, period.--Fluffykittens (talk) 18:22, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
- "The spellcaster can use somatic components through the weapon even if her hand is full, and they gain one additional spell slot or spell per day at each level they can cast." So, no ability to cast spells, no slots.--Fluffykittens (talk) 18:32, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
- Much better. Might want to separate bonded object and arcane strike for clarity, allow spellcasters to use arcane strike, and change bonded object so that it's helpful to characters with stunted spell progression. --Fluffykittens (talk) 22:06, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
Spell-like[edit]
Could you make the caster level of the spell-like always be 1 for balance reasons? There can be some pretty crazy stuff just from race otherwise... --Ghostwheel (talk) 08:13, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
- Besides the fact I hate when that happens, I don't see any balance concerns about it. Certainly can't be the cantrips, so it must be 1st level. But most 1st level spells are capped, and those that don't never bother with CL anyway. Like... Summon Monster I? A long duration is irrelevant when it's just Summon Monster I. That, and it's 2/day. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 08:17, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
- More like Mage Armor on a Monk/Druid (maybe with VoP) was what I was thinking. --Ghostwheel (talk) 08:35, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
