Created by college students at Necro U using an evil broth to transform food into monsters, these strange abominations prove some food really does bite back. Similar to Food. Most of the time these mosters don't have any treasure; If they do, it's either found inside them (From recently-eaten victims) or strew about their feeding grounds.

Ecology[edit]

Physical Characteristics: There are only so many ways to describe animated, undead food. Don't eat it.

Environment: Most of the time undead food are found anywhere Food is found, but generally only when there are Necromancers around.

Lifespan: Infinite, being undead. On the plus side, the food never goes bad... Or it never gets any worse than it already is.

Diet: People. Whatever can't get away from them and has a pulse, really.

Alignment: Chaotic Evil, like most undead.

A halfling-sized apple rolls up to you, two giant worms sticking out of its sides like strange arms. Two glowing yellow eyes and a jagged mouth adorn its front, telling you it's probably here to eat instead of be eaten.

Strategies and Tactics[edit]

These creatures tend to roll around on the floor when they move, Tumbling wherever they go. When they attack, they tend to either flail their target with the two large, mutant worms that have become part of their apple core, or leap onto a target and bite them.

This appears to be a giant carrot with arms and two glowing blue eyes. It stands balanced on its tip, hopping to move.

Strategies and Tactics[edit]

Most of the time they relentlessly hop after you and attempt to bludgeon you to death, in mobs, if possible.

Death by Chocolate[edit]

Death By Chocolate

CR 6

CE Medium Undead
Init/Senses -1/Listen -1, Spot -1
AC 12, touch 9, flat-footed 12
(+3 natural, -1 Dex)
hp 41 (8 HD)
Fort/Ref/Will +2/+1/+5
Speed 5ft
Melee Bite +5 (2d6+6)
Base Atk/Grp +4/+5
Special Actions Tempt, Flame-Broil
Abilities Str 13, Dex 9, Con -, Int 7, Wis 8, Cha 12
Feats Skill Focus (Diplomacy), Power Attack, Improved Natural Attack (Bite)
Skills Diplomacy +15
Advancement
Tempt (Su) The cake looks so tempting, you can barely resist getting closer. This is a Gaze attack with Close range and usable once every 2d4 rounds , allowing a Will save to negate; The DC for this check is equal to the result of the Death by Chocolate's Diplomacy check. On a failed save, the target voluntarily moves closer to the giant cake until they are within melee range of it, at which point the cake tends to roast and eat its victim before the effect wears off. The victim will remain within 5ft of the cake if possible, unblinking as the cake does what it pleases. The ability lasts 6 rounds, with a saving throw allowed each round to break the effect. On a successful saving throw (Whether to avoid the effect or break it), you are immune to the effect for 24 hours.
Flame-Broil (Su) This is a breath weapon. Usable once every 1d4+1 rounds, it affects either a 10ft cone or a 20ft line. The breath weapon deals 4d6 Fire damage, with a Reflex save (DC 15, Charisma-based) for half.

This... Thing, appears to be a triple-layer chocolate cake. Between the second and third layers, however, is a huge mouth with jagged teeth. The whole thing looks so tempting, making you want a bite...

Strategies and Tactics[edit]

These things will attempt to charm you into coming to it, roast you alive and then eat you.

Devildog[edit]

Devildog

CR 3

CE Medium Undead
Init/Senses +1/Listen +6, Spot -1
AC 15, touch 11, flat-footed 14
(+4 natural, +1 Dex)
hp 27 (4 HD)
Fort/Ref/Will +1/+2/+3
Speed 40ft
Melee Bite +5,
Base Atk/Grp +2/+5
Abilities Str 16, Dex 13, Con -, Int 10, Wis 8, Cha 4
SQ Scent, Sneak Attack +1d6
Feats Track*, Dodge, Spring Attack
Skills Listen +6, Survival +6 (+10 when used to track by scent), Hide +8, Move Silently +8
Advancement

This monster appears to be a sausage in a bun, only the sausage is man-sized and the bun has legs. 3/4 of the sausage's length is a jagged maw, perfect for gobbling down those who couldn't get away fast enough.

Strategies and Tactics[edit]

As comical as it sounds to be stalked and ambushed by an evil hot dog, that's what these creatures do, tracking living creatures relentlessly and attempting to get the drop on their prey.

Unbread Zombie[edit]

Unbread Zombie

CR 2

CE Small Undead
Init/Senses +3/Listen -1, Spot -1
AC 17, touch 14, flat-footed 14
(+3 natural, +3 Dex, +1 Size)
hp 28 (3 HD)
Fort/Ref/Will +1/+4/+2
Speed 20ft
Melee Bite +1 (2d8+2)
Base Atk/Grp +1/+1
Abilities Str 13, Dex 17, Con -, Int 7, Wis 8, Cha 4
SQ Crustroll
Feats Dodge*, Mobility, Spring Attack
Skills Tumble +9, Jump +7
Advancement
Crustroll (Ex) As a swift action, the Unbread Zombie can turn upon its crust and roll. In doing so its movement speed triples, but it is treated as if it has Average maneuverability for the purposes of making turns (Of course, being a land speed, the bread cannot go upwards, that would be absurd). While the Unbread is Crustrolling, it can only attack via its Spring Attack feat, biting the target as it rolls by.

This undead thing appears to be a piece of bread with a ghastly face on the front. It wobbles toward you on its two bottom corners while you back away, but suddenly it kicks up on its side, rolling toward you

Strategies and Tactics[edit]

Most of the time these pesky creatures will roll up onto their sides at hit you with roll-by attacks.

King Burger[edit]

King Burger

CR 10

CE Large Undead
Init/Senses +1/Listen , Spot
AC 17, touch 10, flat-footed 15
(+6 natural, +1 Dex, -1 Size)
hp 91 (13 HD)
Fort/Ref/Will +4/+5/+10
Speed 15ft
Melee Bite +9 (2d8+4) or
Melee 3 zombie patties, +6/+6/+6 (With Rapid Shot), (2d6+4 bludgeoning each), 20ft range increment
Base Atk/Grp +6/+14
Abilities Str 19, Dex 13, Con -, Int 8, Wis 14, Cha 9
SQ Heavyweight
Feats Power Attack, Improved Overrun, Point Blank Shot, Rapid Shot, Cleave
Skills Listen +18, Spot +18, Balance +21
Advancement

A hamburger the size of an ogre hops towards you, it has dozens of sharp teeth on each patty. As you back away, thinking it can't get you if it can't get close, it spits all three of its patties your direction.

Strategies and Tactics[edit]

Typically these monstrous sandwiches either try to stay at a range and wear you down, or they rush their opponents (As fast as they can, anyway) and attempt to squash them using their Improved Overrun (+18 modifier).
