This tiny flying pest had the talons of a cockatrice, the body of a sphinx, the tail of a dragon, the wings of a phoenix, the head of a goat, and horn of a unicorn. It's a confusing chimera who never seems to look the same each time you glance at it.

A confusing creature which claims to be a type of genie, it may instead actually be a very confused fae of some sort. Like the legends with genies they are often found inhabiting lamps, rings, amulets, and other objects and granting wishes to mortals. They often claim various random requirements for their services like only granting 3, or requiring goods and services, or only on a full moon. These acts are meaningless as all that is required is the request and the will to comply. Its end goal seems to create myths concerning its existence, and sowing chaos as a result of its wishes. With its invisibility it gathers information passively and learns about its future victims and clients, then grants wishes that will ruin them indirectly. And when it is found out, it flees to torment a new town.

Actual genies hate the thing, and go out of their way to kill them on sight. Wahnencorns are 1 ft tall and weigh 4 lbs. They speak Common and Sylvan.

Combat[edit]

Wahnencorn avoid combat, and if they feel in danger may try to twist anything that sounds like a desire into a wish that will benefit itself. Most turn invisible and flee, or plane shift away.

Immunities: Wahnencorns are immune to charms and compulsions.

Improved Evasion (Ex): This ability works like evasion, except that while the wahnencorn still takes no damage on a successful Reflex saving throw against attacks henceforth she henceforth takes only half damage on a failed save. A helpless wahnencorn does not gain the benefit of improved evasion.

Inhabit (Su): As a 1 round action with touch range, the wahnencorn can inhabit any unattended object up to Medium size. The wahnencorn vanishes and is bound to the item. It can see and hear out to 60 ft but can take no other actions other than to leave the object, appearing in the closest valid space. For sake of the ruse most choose to not act until "activated", such as by command or rubbing the item. If the item is destroyed it takes 1d6 damage and is ejected into the nearest valid space. Abilities which can exorcise spirits also function. Possessed items radiate a faint chaotic aura.

Lucky (Ex): Wahnencorns add their Charisma modifier as a luck bonus to AC.

Spell-Like Abilities (Sp): At will-invisibility, minor image (DC 18), prestidigitation; 3/day-create food and water, detect thoughts (DC 18), tongues; 1/day-plane shift (willing only), scare (DC 18), whispering wind. Caster level 7th, the save DC is Charisma based.

Unidentifiable (Ex): For some reason a wahnencorn looks slightly different each time it's viewed, and different viewers report different images when concerning the details. As such no one really seems to know what a wahnencorn looks like.

Warping (Su): A creature who takes damage from the wahnencorn's horn are afflicted with chaotic changes to their form. Typically they are struck with some absurd change such as changing their clothes hot pink or giving them a squeaky voice. Whatever the effect is, it causes a single stacking daunt level. This is a curse that can be removed by remove curse (effective caster level 7th), and expires naturally after 24 hours. A creature can remove one daunt level at a time (but not the absurd effects) as a standard action as they accept their new fate.

Wishcasting (Sp): At will a wahnencorn can use minor wish as a spell-like ability, but they are unable to cast it for themselves. Instead they must cast it in response to a wish, as defined in Wishcasting with the benefits within. The wahnencorn almost always twists the wish even when granting it exactly as requested, as it seeks to sow chaos in its granting. It can deny wishes, but often needs to think of an excuse to do so as to not appear arbitrary and break the ruse. For this purpose most give a limit to how many wishes they supposedly can grant.
