1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.
The weapon sheathe is a wooden sheathe designed to house a weapon, typically a bladed one to protect the blade from the environment and protect the handler from the blade. Specifically this is a weaponized weapon sheathe which can function as a club in a pinch. The damage stated is a sheathe for a one-handed weapon, such as a longsword. Two-handed sheathes, while still a one-handed weapon, increases the damage by one step (1d8 for medium).
It can be used as a two-handed simple weapon, or a one-handed martial weapon if you have a Str of 13. It can also work well when paired with the weapon it is designed to hold. If used in Two-Weapon Fighting with its paired weapon, it is treated as a light weapon for the purposes of two-weapon fighting penalties.
Many sheathes are decorated with house insignias or fancy designs. For an additional 5 gp it can act as a signet ring.
