Webspinner Helifis[edit]

It is said that Helifis was once a druidic fertility deity that became corrupted after being bitten by an abyssal spider. The consumed deity is now the goddess of betrayal, discord, sex, spiders and the wilderness. She has a "might make right" and "survival of the fittest" ethic and believe civilization undermine both of those. She does have a 'code' of conduct for her followers, which force them to live in the wilderness by themselves. She grant her witches spells which deal with spiders and manipulate others in the worst possible way.

Her statues typically show the Webspinner as a dark skinned woman with six arms, both of her arms and legs being warped and looking like spider legs. She is usually depicted as hermaphroditic and her appearance tend to change depending on her cultists. She prefer her status and altar to be built in cave, grove and other natural places. Her worshippers tend to group in coven which meet for common sacrifices or ceremony. She prefer livestock for animal sacrifice, city folks and civil servants for human sacrifice and processl piece of arts and other precious objects from civilization for material sacrifices.

Helifis believe in strict but non-traditional gender roles, the female bring down civilization through guile and manipulation while her male followers bring it down through raids and vandalism. She does value both her female and male followers, at least the one who manage to garner favor from her. Her male followers are typically Barbarian who become Blackguard under her blessing while her female followers are Patron Witches.

She encourage her followers to live alone and meet in monthly or yearly coven. Although visiting and helping another worshipers is not disallowed, any long term cohabitation or cooperation is discouraged. However if her witch is at least living in the wilderness and offering sacrifices, she will typically not interfere with their lives, allowing worshipers to live in couple and even raise children.

Despite being a deity, the webspinner does not grant power to cleric or druid, it is said she lost the ability to do so upon being corrupted.

Special Requirement and Rules[edit]

The Webspinner usually only grant powers to female witches. She also only grant her power to evil individuals and tend to avoid lawful ones while favoring chaotic witches. Both of those prerequisites do have exceptions, as rare as they are.

The Webspinner has a disdain for civilization and thus seek to undermine it at every turn. She encourage her witches to only get involved with criminal organization when they visit civilization, hoping to hasten it collapse. She require her witches to live in the wild, live debauched life and regularly sacrifice to her. If her witch live in a city she must attempt to hasten it doom by participating in thief guilds, assassin rings and similar institutions. She encourage her witches to lies and spread rumors to hasten the collapse of civilization.

Spell Granted[edit]

This Patron grant the Witch the following spell, she add those spell to her spell list but she must prepare them normally.

*The dire wolves are replaced by large monstrous spider and legendary wolf by a huge monstrous spider.

Granted Abilities[edit]

Backstabber[edit]

You gain a +2 bonus to attack roll and spell DC when targeting flat-footed creature. This bonus double if the creature was friendly toward you.

Spread Lie[edit]

The Webspinner grant you extraordinary abilities when it come to spreading rumors, lies and whatnot. Whenever you tell a creature a lie it may use your own bluff result when telling the lie to others. This ability cannot be used if the creature being lied to know this is a lie, this ability require genuine deception.

Additionally you can demoralize targets up to 60 ft away as a standard action using Bluff instead of Intimidate. Rather than become shaken, they take 1d4 daunt levels. The creature can take a standard action to reassure themselves, removing all but 1 daunt level (the last one goes away as normal after 1 hour). This is a language-dependent effect.
