XK28 Ship Killer
A XK28 destroys most objects in its path. It requires four crewmen to operate a XK28, and one minute to aim and lock onto a target. A XK28 has a range of 5280'.
After the first round, a large laser target is emitted, this helps guide the force to its target. However, this also alerts nearby creatures. Due to the time needed to fire and the size of vehicle necessary to move a XK28 weapon, most creatures can negate all damage by fleeing. However, large structures and vehicles have a harder time doing this (but can still try). Any creature or object still within the blast radius after the minute receives all damage and effects (no save).
The laser itself does 2d10 fire damage each round in a 60’ area (for 9 rounds). All creatures can attempt a Reflex save (DC15) to reduces this damage by half.
After one minute, the XK28 does 8d10+56 damage. This damage is a mixture of all damage types (all of them), thus negating any resistance or immunity. Creatures and objects destroyed by weapon are vaporized (making them impossible to resurrect). Any surviving creature or object less than 50 tons within two miles is blown away.
This is considered a siege weapon for all effects.
It requires a minute to reload and cooldown. This is loaded with four XK06 cells.
A XK28 costs 600,000 gp. (Info for table, ignore: 2d10/8d10+56.)
